over the years ive heard of almost every item in a hunting camp being stolen....
every thing from the meat on the pole to camp outhouse..
what the oddest itemstolen from your camps?

Got only my splitting axe taken away. I always leaved my camp unlocked in its 4 year ownership & was Riverfront.

Most neighboring camps got broken in frequently in the area.

The only things stolen have been by critters. A squirrel took off with my shades once, but it was too much for to take up the tree with me chasing it, haha. The whole camp's ribs hurt all day!!!

That is funny.

I can just picture that happening, sitting back at camp after a long day's hunt sippin on a few wobbly pops pissin myself laughing lol

never had anything stolen but someone did leave behind a recent *at the time* copy of hustler, and some electric lettuce

The only thing I ever had stolen was the backstraps of a Dall sheep I'd just packed off the mountain on my back. The evidence next morning looked like a wolverine. Oh well, I guess that's one for wilderness taxation!

Our current camp has had no break ins so far, but I understand the previous owners lost a large buck in broad daylight from the hanging tree. The perps just backed their truck under it and cut it down.
Other camps we've had, well, we've had the whole camp stolen from us. Place we'd been renting for a generation. The owner just walked in and said that the following year would be our last. Really sucked, lots of memories in those walls. What really burns is we passed on a chance to buy it. :(
We can understand it from his point of view, he reno'ed the joint, and his son uses it for a cottage now.

Well in 25+ yrs we've had one pain of glass out of a sliding window stolen
A 1/2 dz chocolate bars & carton of cigerettes..no loss
They're welcome to try & steel our generator, it's a single cyl diesel weighing hmm about a thousand pounds :p
