What got you into collecting the M1 Garand

All I can add to this thread is ....... I WISH I BOUGHT ONE YEARS AND YEARS AGO WHEN I COULD AFFORD ONE!!!!! I think they are crazy priced now.

The boxed set (tin box) of "Band of Brothers" got me into M1 Garands.... NO ! Hey wait I was competing with them back in 1985.... That was 20 years before Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg produced that mini-series...
