I have been pondering this and I now ask the question. What handgun grip feels the most natural in your hand? I am not asking what grip you shoot best with but rather what grip on a handgun feels just right to you? I love S&W N & K Frames, Glocks, CZs, and Browning High-Powers; is one of these the handgun grip that just plain feels right to me? No, the honor goes to “OLD UGLY” (1911A1). The 1911A1 grip just plain feels like an old shoe to me. What grip style feels the most natural in your hands? Regards, Richard :D

I say the 1911A1 style grip too. I also say that it has just the right natural pointing angle built in.

The gun that feels the most natural in my hand is a K-frame S&W wearing the custom fitted grips made for me by Jim Badger in Lockport, NY.;)

In a factory gun, the first time I picked up a 1911A1 it felt like it was made for me. The Browning HP is a close second.

Staghorn gotta be the coolest , but if function is the key :)

I'm with ya on the 1911 single stack, its most comfortable to me for sure.

I also own a CZ75, which I have been thinking about selling along with a couple others and going for all 1911 in my safe. The CZ75 is definately comfy, but you said it best about the 1911 feeling like an old shoe.

I have little girly hands so this is a tricky question for me. Won't answer it until I try to hold a few more, but from what I've read I'd probably be going with the BHP MARK III

I would say CZ, actually.

It all part of what makes it such a damned shame CZs are so s**tty.
+1
CZ has a very comfortable grip and is a natural to aim. Not to crazy about the trigger set up.

I used Hogue big butt grips on my GP100. Fit my big old hands perfectly.

For my 1911 I put on American Legend finger groove stocks. With the checkered backstrap, Essex stainless combat slide and compensator, it felt like an extension of my hand. Unfortunately I sold both last year to make room for other projects. Just looking at these pics makes me want to kick myself in the ass for letting them go.:( Of course then I'd have to give up the guns I got in exchange and kick myself in the ass all over again.

I think for someone new to handgunning the Browning HP or the CZ-75 might have the best feel. If you shoot a 1911 for a while, all the controls are in the right place, and very quickly your brain tells you this is how an auto pistol should feel.

I prefer the feel of my Super Blackhawk to that of any DA revolver I've tried yet. Colt Trooper and Python grips curl too far forward for my likes, and while the S&W K frame is tolerable with target grips, the N frame is just too big for my thick hand and short fingers. By contrast a friend's early production Ruger Redhawk is quite comfortable and seems to fit my hand well.
