What gun do you regret selling the most??

what gun do you regret selling the most??

Every gun I have sold I wish I had back, but the most stupid deal I ever did
was a long time ago in late 50s
Gave a three barrelled drilling 16gauge double with 8 by 57 JR somthing with velvet lined leather case, with a hard canvas over case.
for a 22 bolt German ? with a Leica scope and got $100 cash how stupid was that deal, also sold 7 old lever winchesters, 44.40, 38.55, 25.35 etc for $700
and a pump Reminton shot gun, and a bunch of pre 64 winchesters for peanuts.

I regretted selling my very first centerfire rifle a Rem 700 in .308 Win. Then by a stoke of fate I was able to reacquire it about 2 years ago. She's a keeper now for sure! :D

Someone I know has a single shot cooey crack .410 that I would sooner buy off him than see him sell it. It's my favorite pop-gun.

my list of "guns I should have kept" is very long....a Remington Model 30S Express in 25-06 in a Fajen Aristocrat stock, someone in the Edmonton area or at least in Alberta probably has this one...and a Schultz & Larsen M65DL in 308 Norma that should have been a keeper.....had a Pre'64 Model 70 in 300 Win Mag too,a one year only deal in '63....had a nice old Rem 722 in 244 with a period correct B&L Balvar 2.5-8X with the adjustable mount....a Sako AII FibreClass in 7-08(factory McMillan stock)....now that's a rare one...a Ruger #3 in 22 Hornet...thought I didn't need two Hornets....it goes on and on and on.....

Rembo reminded me of a Sako FiberClass I had in .338 WM, those were really nice rifles. And the recoil on that one was unbelievably mild.

A J.C. I sold cheap before they were cool, and my very first 12 ga. a fricken cooey bought it brand new for $50 at Woolco in '77. Got way more birds with that Cooey than with the Gevarm semi that replaced it. Did not regret saying see ya to the Gevarm.

A win 94 Saskatchewan Diamond Jubilee in 38-55 I should of kept that one. Also a 6.5x55 mauser that you damn near drive nails with. I pretty well gave that one a way to a guy that was just starting out hunting. Oh well! More will come and more will go and i'm sure I'll have more regrets in the future.

Dave.

I had a few that I should of kept....heavy barrel Browning BBR in 22-250, a model 61 winchester in 22 mag, a FN Browning in 30-06, a Gevarm target model 22 lr, a mint m1 Garand, the list goes on and on...too many tears to continue to type..sniff sniff

NAA: what stock is that????

I'm not sure what the origin of the stock is. It is in ADL configuration [i.e. blind magazine]. Stock profile is very much like the Remington 'Classic' stock with no raized cheek piece. CGN member 'guntech' is responsible for the rifle in it's current configuration. ;)

What gun do you regret......

I was going to lament about the Rem 700 BDL in 30.06 that I had a great gunsmith work up for me, it was the most pleasant rifle I had ever shot. But after reading about some unloading a drilling and some else dumping a MS, I don't feel so bad anymore. Thanks

Dennis:)

Well, it was the late 50's, right? All Wins were pre 64! Sure, it sucks, now, but, hey... That Drilling would be cool to see, though!

I used to drool over those when I was a kid! Glad to see you got it back.
