What gun do you regret selling the most??

a Schultz & Larsen M65DL in 308 Norma that should have been a keeper

Ha ha, I bought one of those off the board here not to long ago. And you're right you shouldn't have gotten rid of yours, or at least you should have jumped on the one I bought, talk about a smoooooooth action.:D :D :D

Sorry man, I shouldn't tease you about that, but hey, its all in fun:)

Sold?

I've never sold a gun, but I borrowed a Winchester Model 88 lever action in 308 back in 1975, with the option to buy, but returned it because I was hunting on Vancouver Island at the time and it nearly broke those deer in half.

The other gun I passed on that mighta come in handy was a Parker-Hale 30-06 my father offered to give me. He got it as a debt payment and didn't like big bores either (he shot a 22 Hornet).

I wasn't even hunting black bears at the time, and never realized that one day I'd go moose and elk hunting and let that one go too.

An early Ruger #1S in 300 Winchester. Nice gun but I was heading to BC and convinced myself that I neeeded stainless and fiberglass. And just young enough I thought I couldn't afford both. Stupid...

Then a post-64 M70 with a Shilen 300Wby tube in the most stunning sunburst stock you have ever seen. Wasn't controlled feed, and the 1990 super grades were just coming out. Of course the 300Wby went away and I got a 300Win super grade. Nice rifle but never had the same feel as the older M70.

Then Kimber of Oregons, a M82 classic 22LR and a M84 custom classic in 223 Rem.

A mint 1949 M70 standard rifle in 270 Win.

A beautiful Ruger #1B in 25-06 with a Leupie 3.5-10X40. After the installation of a foreend tension screw it would group just over an inch at 300 yards with 100 grain ballistic tips and not much worse with 115 NP's.

An early High Standard military citation that I shot a hell of a lot of bullseye with.

A really smooth 4" M629 Smith.

A Stey Mannlicher model L in 6mm Rem. Firing one-shot groups at 100 yards, it would make a washer out of a dime every shot.

I need a drink...

Browning Model 1895 .30-06. It was in great condition and I sold it for $400.00. I kick myself at least once a day for that one.

Remington 600

The gun I regret selling the most was a beat up rem 600 in 308. Dog leg bolt, vented rib, and topped with an old weaver 4 power. It wasn't all that accurate, but it did bring home the meat. I sold it about 10 years ago, and I haven't had a good nights sleep since.

Ok so the gun I regretted selling on the 10th I just bought back... This is the 3rd one I've done that with.. My Wife says I'm nuts but the good news is I think this is the last one I'll do it with... I bought back my PPC9, I bought back the Ruger Mark 2 and now I've bought back the Coonan. Getting sick was a bad thing and I did some stupid things... I haven't bought back the 1050 but that I can replace if I want too once the shop is finished.. For now a 650 and a 550 should suffice...

I've only sold one gun, a Remington Model 4 and the money from that paid for my first handgun, my Colt Python. No regrets there!:D There have bee lots that I should have bought though. A Walther P5 compact in Lahr, a Steyr M professional when the Lahr Rod & Gun was closing, A Ruger #1 in .35 Whelan at the Eganville Gunshow, the list goes on. I still haven't found a reasonably priced S&W M52 yet, I may regret some of those I have passed up before I'm gone as well.:(
