What Guns are you using for Bear Hunting this Year?

I was just sitting here taking a break from fixing up the house when I started thinking about what rifles/loads I am going to hunt black bear with this year.

Here they are in no particular order...

T/C Contender carbine 14" 45 Colt barrel with 300gr XTP's @ 1550fps - 1600fps

T/C Contender carbine 22" 45-70 barrel with 325gr Hornady FTX @ 1850fps

Rem 700 LSS 21" barrel 375RUM with either 260gr Accubonds @ 3020fps, 300gr Partition/A-Frames/Gamekings @ 2720fps or 350gr Barnes TSX @ 2450fps.

Robinson Arms 18.6" XCR-L Standard in 223 with 55gr Trophy Bonded Bear Claws @ 3100fps - 3150fps.

Puma M92 20" barrel 454 Casull with 240gr XTP Mags to 405gr Beartooth WLNGC's @ 1520fps.

I have other rifle/cartridge/load combo's but they will have to wait for another year...

Likely going to use factory 180s, but only as a back up. Hoping ot get my bear this year with my Browning F5 Tornado Compound Bow.

My daughter will use my dad's old Mauser in 6.5X55 with Norma 156 grain factory loads.

Even if I have quite a bit of choice, my SHR 970 in 9.3X62 is my contender, but I may also spend some time (no jealous here) with a .280 Ross or a 21H in 8X57 (200 grains Partition)....

I am happy to say, I am using a Sako 75 hunter L/H I recently purchased in 270 with 130gr interbonds, it is heavy but accurate.

Will give my 450 Marlin XLR a chance with 325g@2225ft/s. I may be under-gunned.

I just picked up a Win94 30-30 on the EE a bit ago and was thinking that taking it out for a spring bear would stop it from sulking in the corner.....

170grain Remington Core-Lokt should do it.
