What happened…..?

I sold mine, a 1953-dated Model 99 EG, in .300 Savage (another one of life's little mistakes). But I still think it is a wonderful design, one that is much under-appreciated. I guess that makes me an empty-handed fan...

Still have a cult following.

But likely those of us that love 'em already topped out on which versions & how many we want to own.

In my case, it's just a single, a 99F, in .308 Win & mfg in 1958.

NAA.

I’m waiting to find the right one lol 300 savage carbine takedown… I would also consider the same in 308 but I don’t know if they made them in carbine takedown…

No
Seems the prices have dropped dramatically and still for sale.
Given what pre 64 94’s fetch in todays market.

Me thinks the purse strings have drawn tite, newse tite.
Old people are dieing. When was the last time you heard a 20 year old lusting after a 99. Some guns are just falling off the desirability cliff is all.

I have a 99E in 308. Only because I inherited it. Wouldn't be my first choice. But its works and does the job.

Can only fire a couple rounds from it before it overheats and it sprays bullets all over.
