....oh well, might as well start another one.

Optic suggestions? Think I will put my Terra 3-9 on it for now but looking for something illuminated...

Has a Linear comp on it, never tried one before so I'm very interested to see how well it works :)

Gotta get to my reloading bench now and toss some H4895 under some 168 Amax's to break her in this weekend.... Guess I have an excuse to break into my stash of .30cal tracers now :)

Update

First impression...

This thing points beautifully and is an honest pleasure to shoot offhand...

Within 6rnd's I had the gas valve adjusted perfectly, my Zeiss 3x9 I mounted this morning fits well and at 6x it comes on target instinctively and smooth...

Put 20rnds total into a nice 1" wide 6" vertical group free standing from 40 yards... With some practice this rifle should be quite deadly for hunting the willow slews around here :)

Good day was had on the sled trip in and out too :p

they work good, mine shot 1MOA with premium factory ammo, after 3 rounds it gets warm and groups open to 1.5MOA.

No problems with mine at all once you set the gas system.

It's adjustable to nearly any load. Some love that - like me- some hate as they want to play no issues out of the box. But .308 is something a person can reload easily and set the gas system once and have fun! I'm wanting to put a lantac dragon on mine after a bunch of research

I've played with the Tavor, the T97, a DTA, a PS90.... This rifle has an excellent trigger for a bullpup and that is a huge plus for me, infact between the accuracy reports I have read and limited use of a friends RFB the 2 points toghether = a purchase.

I was looking for an accurate compact .30cal semi, my choices were this or the XCR but I drank that koolaid a couple years back in the form of an XCR-L and it just dident fit me...

.....the price tag is a real killer I will admit, I'm half regretting not just buying a Sauer 202 or a PGW Coyote.

I had one a couple years ago (gen 2) and loved it.
With handloads the best I could do was 1.5moa for 5 shot groups and I had loads from 110gr vmax up to 165gr SST and all would cycle perfectly once the gas system was adjusted.
I never understood all the whining about the gas system. It only takes a few rounds to get it set correctly and how often does a guy honestly change ammo? If you are running 3 different rounds regularly I'd say you are doing it wrong. What would be the point of that and even if you did switch that often it isn't hard to write down to open it 3 clicks to switch from this type to that type.
The mags are stupid, those metric FAL mags are about $12 in the US and even new manufacture DSA mags aren't that expensive but somehow putting a $0.05 rivet in it and importing it makes it $55+?

I only sold it because I have a few other semi auto rifles and I wasn't using the RFB much when the next shiny object caught my attention and I had to sell something to pay for it.

I can get thermold's at the LGS for $35ish each... A ridiculous price but better than the $50+ metal mags I've seen some site vendors selling, I just hope they work well...

As for ammo I'm setup on my XL650 for .308, probably just feed it a few boxes of factory 150's to get the hang of setting the gas system then just a constant diet of 168 Amax's for the range and some Interlocks for hunting season... I have high hopes the RFB is easier on my brass than my M14... If not it'll be on the EE in short order.
