They were released a while ago but no they seem to have disappeared... no mention of them any more and no one seems to stock them etc. The search here for "mlr" worked well too

I'd be interested in the .338 depending on some real-world reviews of it.
Anyone here have one / tried one???

Regards,

We had several and from the guys who bought them, the constant complaints were too short a barrel and a truly useless brake.
The Dept of State came up with a proposal that any rifle that was designated "police" or "military" use were non exportable. remington challenged the decision and won as the DOS guys were at a loss as to how a 700P or MLR really differed from a Sendero or SPS Varmit.
Remington was supposed to run a production run of MLRs in Oct 09, whether this actually happened, I don't know.
Alledgedly they will be available here again, I have a number of them on order and to date Remington Canada's rep has NOT advised me that I will not get them.

Many of the guys we sold them to had them rebarrelled with longer match barrels. The platform is sound and for the $$ hard to beat.

Rick, I guess I should have just asked you first. I forgot we talked about them some time ago when they first came out. :D

BTW... this does not mean I no longer love my ATR tuned Stealth II you did for me... I'm just ready to add another to the collection and I was thinking of stepping it up to .338. Like you say for the $$$ it's a good deal!

I'll keep an eye out on your website for news.

Regards,

We update the website at least 3 times per week lately, so as soon as we have any they will be on there.
I have a pretty good sized order for them in place.

Only fair to warn you the 338 Lapua is addictive as hell!!:D

Just got word from our broker, several MLR rifles are inbound and should be here later this week. Won't have pricing until they arrive.
These 1s are the newest model that feature an improved DBM system that uses the AI mags.

Rem 338 LM Love it

I have one and love it...did a quick bedding job, tunned the trigger, and changed that workable, but not great brake. Its light enough to carry for hunting, and fun to shoot...oh ya..it shoots real well to.

The brake shown is from NEAR in AB. Ears are a must, even plugs first..but no jump and real nice to shoot.

That is a Near brake on there? I went to his website and didnt see a brake in that thread pitch. Have one of his on my tikka and I am happy with it. Guess I will buy another one for my new toy too.
