What happened to the P90 .22 conversion?

A year or so back I read about CMMG's plan to produce a .22 conversion for FN PS90's.

Did it die off or have I just missed the updates on it?

Reading through the thread, it looks like the 22LR magazine sticks straight up. Bren gun esque P90 anyone?
