What has happened to Alliant powders in Canada!

Been looking for awhile now for Alliant 2400 and Unique powders, they seem to have disappeared from dealers shelves now for about a year, does anybody know when we can look forward to more available!

I know that none are available now, I even implied that in my post, more so interested to know if anybody has any info on when we may see more coming back to our LGS!

I got lucky recently. Looked at Rusty Wood's site at just the right time and managed to grab two pounds of 2400. Looked again a day or two later and they were out of stock again.

Need to get lucky again and get some Unique, Bullseye, Titegroup and Power Pistol. Running low on all but Titegroup - got one pound left. And there's nothing available out there right now.

One rumour I heard was that ATK told Canadian importers not to even place orders until mid-late 2015. It would not surprise me if Alliant powders remained very hard to find until 2016.
I've switched away from Alliant powders because they've been so hard to find for around 1.5 years now. Even if they come back I don't see myself switching back unless they become a lot easier to find than Hodgdon powders.

I have been on the hunt for Unique for a year or so but recently picked up a pound of Bullseye at a gun show ($28 no tax) also a pound of Power Pistol both are made by Alliant so it is still available. The Power Pistol was recently imported from the States and sold to me by a local business.

Rifle powders are easy to find. Pistol powder not so much.

I've been told that hopefully by this time next year Alliant powder will be shipped to Canada once again. As for the availability of pistol powder, it's out there you just have to look for it.

It used to be the easiest and most readily available.
Now I need to find a new powder .

I have found 3 lbs of 2400. 1 lb of Unique. 3 lbs of RL22 in this past year. Some RL22 was from a fellow CGN'er.....

Huh! I have 5lbs of 2400, including what's left of a 4 pound jug I picked up this past summer. As others have said, it's out there, but hard to find. On the other hand, I'm just about out of Power Pistol.
