What have been your lowest cost but amazing performance rimfires?

I believe they were called a TOZ rifle!

Came in a bolt action repeater with a 5-10 round magazine, and the single shot version.

Ugly as sin, however they are accurate little gargoyles!........:ROFLMAO:
TOZ 16 i believe was single, then 17 and 18 mag. All with the weird bell muzzle.

I like the Toz 8s. My buddy got a 14. The one with target sights and said it boring as hell, it that accurate.

I swapped to using a Toz8 for club shoots. As it light, balance well, super accurate and great for off hand.

One of my savage mk11 fv works amazing and is super accurate. The other is a fvsr and it wont extract worth a damn. It shoots ok but no where near my first. Savage has not been helpful at all getting replacement parts. I did get a new spring clip and extractor from a cgn member but it only helped a bit. Still hasn't fixed the issue.
My derya tm22 is shooting very well once its fully broke in ill sit down on a calm day and see what it will do

Polish up the chamber and recontact Savage USA. Call 1-800-370-0708. be nice, but be assertive. Ask for a new spring, ejector, and an extractor. I normally ask for a free spare magazine for my troubles as well. I ask for the smaller 5-round mag. They comply with no troubles.

The FVSR models are absolute tack-driving machines. Get your chamber polished up, this will also clean up any carbon rings or any smegma in there too.....:)

Once you get her polished/cleaned up and working, it will be tough to put down.....:)

If a Savage Mark II 22 LR rifle is jamming, there is something wrong with the rifle. (broken parts, excessive wear, dirty, or never properly cleaned from new, or something)......:(

A Savage Mark II is one of the most reliable and accurate 22's on the market for the money one has to lay down to obtain it.

It's not uncommon for new Mark II's to need a new spring, extractor, and or ejector right out of the box. Which is poor quality control, no doubt. However, Savage Canada, now Savage USA will have free warranty parts shipped to the buyer in order to rectify any bad parts concerns.

Like Anthony (maifire), stated above, a Savage Mark II rifle will normally out-shoot their owners.

Can you explain what jamming issues you have with your Savage Mark II? I'd be glad to assist if I can....:)
the mk 11 has been a piece of junk since the early 70's and still is misfires and extraction issues right out of the box

Toz 78 when Arm R us was going out of business.
I seem to recall they were less then $150 all in with 2 5 rd mags and 2 10rders.
I put a williams peep dovetail peep on mine that pairs perfectly with the AK style hooded front sight and makes a real nice sight picture.... smacks golf balls as far as you can see them with bulk ammo.... :)

Regret selling mine.

Ya okay Spanky!.......:ROFLMAO:

Apparently a Savage hater crawled out from under a rock. I was wondering how long that would take?

And struff55 doesn't disappoint!

Actually I've seen many of your posts, and you are not very nice most of the time. You come off as being arrogant and a know it all....:)

There is no doubt Savage has issues with their quality control, however they do make some real nice firearms both in rimfire and centerfire.

Apparently you forgot your negative trader rating when you screwed a fellow gunnutter in 2019.....:( Your exact positive trader rating is 246, with one negative trader rating........:( Not 300 positive's as you say..........;)

I have no doubt you have many years experience with guns, however many on this site do, I also do, close to 45 years.

I don't care if you have a hate on for Savage, but keep your crap to yourself. Savage makes some real nice stuff, other models, well not so much. But good or bad, they out sell most other firearms manufacturers.

Gunnutz has become very WOKE. I don't care for this either, but suck it up buttercup, or just leave like you say you are doing. I understand your frustration as I'm equally concerned about the goofs Gunnutz allows on here.....:(

If your position was one that only dealt with the issues, i understand that you could be jaded. In my experience, your opinion is not that common with savage shooters however. Mine are a joy to shoot. All 5, in rim and centre. The first post in this thread are fantastic shooters. If they were better in the pre 70’s, that would be incredible. Having insider knowledge, you surely must have held onto quite a few of them.
