Absolutely! I've had my fair share of 22's the past few years, but the CZ 452's are the only ones I've held onto. While I prefer the bolt lift of the 457's, the 452's just feel better. Currently I have a Scout and American(?), and did own a Varmint for a while. However, I walk and hunt most of the time, and the Varmint was just too heavy. All shot better than me.

Ill jump on the Savage Mark 2 band wagon. I've had both original left handed versions. The Mark 2 G (wood, blued, iron sights) and Mark 2 BTVS, which was a stainless heavy barrel and thumb hole stock. Both of these rifles were exceptionally accurate with moderate quality and high quality ammo. The Accu Trigger is good enough for what it is and the actions smoothed out over time. Did they take a little tweaking out of the box to make them feed right? Yes. But all in the Mark 2 G (at the time) for $300 with optic and has not skipped a beat in the 15+ years I have owned it.

In my experience the cheapest RF in terms of accuracy has been the first few generations of Norinco JW15 clones disguised as a miniature G38/40 or K98. I got mine for 500$ with a norinco side mounted 1.5x scope. At 50 yards it’s a track driver and is a fun challenge past 100 yards.

My Anschutz was only 600. And has made the club. My 550$ one Ive yet to try.
Its the ammo you're using....mine does the same...10 rounds of anything winchester....empties stick.....except for remington thunderbolts.....flawless...
My rifle pick is my CZ453 heavy barrel.
It was my first brand new rifle.
Always bought used firearms before this but won some cash on a slot machine.
$639 from wholesale sports.
I almost didn't buy it because of the price.
It's killed thousands of gophers and was given the name "ol painless" by my buddy who owns the ranch we shoot them on.
Putting a new scope on her this weekend.
A never sell firearm.
20yrs and still knocks em dead.

Even the high end match stuff sticks in mine. The extractor claw just doesn't hold tight enough. A small slot screwdriver slides them out easily. Its just a pain in the ass
Thunderbolt and yellow jackets stick in mine to
Marlin 795 , Marlin xt22, and Norinco sportsman. All sub $250 when I bought them.

Also have a zastava mp22, it's actually insane how well it shoots. I had it in the vehicle when I was developing some centerfire loads at the range. There was a guy there shooting his fully custom 10/22, different barrel, trigger, ect, the whole works. He was keeping his targets in a binder of his 25 yard groups, I was trying to wrap my head around that. Got him to shoot some groups at 100 yards, said I would grab my cheap bolt action 22lr they I paid $179 for back in 2012. I had about 8 different types of 22lr ammo in the one case as well. His groups where atrocious, which he thought was good for a hundred yards.
Some of the rounds like Remington golden bullet where a 3-3.5 inch 5 shot group for me, but most where not much over a inch. The CCI stingers shot just over a half inch 5 shot group...I thought I got lucky, but it kept shooting between half inch to an inch with them for the entire box.
It shoots one hole groups at 25 yards with quite a few varaties and has taken a pile of grouse through the years with headshots. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Other than feeding from the magazine if left the way it ships, tops the bullet a bit steep, and will shave a bit of lead off when you are chambering it.
I have seen the ‘prove it’ threads. If that is your metric, then that works.
I most often shoot semi-supported(seated, front bag). If I also use a rear bag or sled and my results improve, my definition is met; the rifle shoots better than I do.

My Remington model 24 by far the best deal. Given to me by my cousin as it was a barn find. The stock looks like it was used to beat a whale to death. Zero bluing left. Missing the rear but still had a tang sight.
This old girl has never misfired using the even the crappiest of ammo. It’s my shop rodent gun and accurate enough for mouse and rat sized critters. JMB for the win!

Cooey model 60 that was left behind in the garden shed by the previous owner of my first rural property. It was a typical farmer’s Cooey & had likely been forgotten about because it wouldn’t stay cocked / had a hair trigger. A quick trip to my now long retired and greatly missed local ‘smith for a replacement bolt installed for the princely sum of $10. Still working well 30+ years later
