I recently aquired a Leupold fixed 10 power scope 40mm A/O with friction adjustments (gloss)
In nice shape, no chips or dents or right marks.
Not sure what I want to put it on..maybe the CZ 453 or the Brno FoxII .22Hornet.
Traded some ammo for it.
Value ?
Thanks for any input.

It sounds like you have an "M" series, fixed power Leupold from a few decades back.

I have three of them. M8 (8X), M6 (6X), M12 (12X).

I believe Leupold still makes fixed power scopes, but most outlets don't carry them. There really isn't much demand.

I really like all three of my fixed power M series scopes. They all have similar "friction" adjustment turrets, which are low profile.

I had to send the M8 to Korth for repairs and cleaning/sealing, but other than that, they all function very well and hold their settings, even when mounted on hard recoiling rifles.

I see them for sale at gun shows, running anywhere from $100-$400, depending on magnification and condition.

Mounting it on a 22 Hornet may be overkill, but they usually don't have any parallax distortion from 20yds to 300yds.

Nice find, you're going to like it.

You got a Leupold M8 fixed 10x power scope.
I still own 2 in 12x, they are crystal clear and have an exceptionally large eye box

Value?
$300-$350
