What Height for Scope Rings???

Hey Guys Quick Question

My New rifle is on its way its a Christensen Arms 300RUM the action is a Remington 700 Action I have a Nightforce 5.5-22x56 scope just not sure the height to order we dont have any shops around here that sell rings.. Thanks
 
what are you putting on for scope bases? a thick 1 piece rail would result in lower rings. with the 56mm objective you are going to need high rings or if using a standard set of bases like a weaver set up then perhaps extra high.
 
A number of things to consider
-OD of objective bell
-profile of barrel and its diameter at point where the bell will be above barrel
-height or thickness of your NF rail
-amount of drop from top of front receiver ring to top of barrel - your barrel
profile at the receiver relative to the receiver itself
-enough clearance for your bolt handle movement
-how high do you want for suitable cheek weld if a non adjustable stock
