What holsters are you shooting idpa with?

Up until now the factory Glock holster, but have a Comp Tac rig on the way. You cannot go wrong with any of the major manufacturers. Comp Tac, Blade Tech, Tac Pro, Fobus, Uncle Mikes, Blackhawk, what ever works best for you. Then you have to decide weather you want leather or kydex. You can always find deals on 1991 holsters, good one, just see if you can try as many as possible.

I tried a few different steups for my Glock 22 and settled on the Bladetech. It just fit me well and I like the feel of it. I'm a complete newbie at IDPA (shot my first match yesterday) but it worked perfectly. I'm a big guy and even sitting in my truck at lunch I didn't notice I was wearing it.

I did notice though that over half the guys I saw using 1911's were using leather holsters, a few guys I talked to had made their own too.

I have a CR Speed WSM II for my CZ 85 Combat. Gives seamless draws, but even though it was sold to me as a left handed holster (requires drilling and some mods to work), the lock can not be properly reached by the left hand. This really sucks, because I'm now going to have fabricate an extended lock lever that can be grasped by left handed fingers.

That CR Speed model won't be legal for IDPA. ^^^

Blade Tech is my favourite brand, they have a wide range of stuff. The injection moulded holsters are quite affordable and work well, the IWB models are good too.

The best CDP shooter in Alberta is uses leather holsters of his own design and manufacture.

PM HOOLIHAN on CGN if you want him to make you one.

And, no, I don't get a commission... Just supporting a brother in the sport.
