pretty much what I did with mine, but I have a barrel-mounted side rail... it's all very solid and works well, but I need a more 'tactically-colored' flashlight ....the blue just isn't doing it for me! (maybe I should look for one in the same blue-grey as the rest of the gun??!?)

Hey man....Nice...I've got the exact same rail and foregrip ......The rails were in a 2 pack that came with 1 sling swivel right?? I mounted the other rail onto my Mini-14 along with the sling swivel....The foregrip is on it in this pic....but you can see the rail on the SKS.......

A can of black timclad and off to the races. Unless you are really picky and want to match the colour of the 858.

Ye some people like flash lights on their wepons. I always wondered about discharging a firearm at night - is that legal if you're doing it for fun?

I'm not against that, one bit. I alwys take my 870 with the light mounted when I'm camping. I want it for defence. When I get up in the middle of the night I just say I used the flash light. that’s attached to the barrel.

I have the exact same flashlight in black...They suck,wont light up anything over 6 feet away
and it would be better mounted on the other side so you can push the button on the back with your thumb

yep, I need a better flashlight, no question... though this one does actually light up quite well, it is pretty fugly! In any case, I find mounting stuff on the left gets in the way more than on the right
