What I did to the Ar-180b today

The 37mm GL sure looks nice on the AR180b!

Here's my Bravo:

Looks decent, but why is there that piece that takes up so much space between the handguard and the launcher? Are there any that don't have that, or is it possible to mount the launcher without it?

EDIT: By the way, what kind and length of launcher is it, and what scope do you have mounted? Acog? Thanks.

I assume you mean the long, rectangular piece? That is the main structure of the launcher. It holds the barrel and the trigger group bolts to it. He plans machine it down as small as pissible and mount the throw levers right to it and get it tighter to the handguard. It will never be as close to the barrel as an M203 due to the fact it is being mounted to an RIS.

It's a Cobray 37mm. I can't remember how long the barrel is, 10 inches maybe? LS, to make it as small as possible, you may have to switch to steel or it may not be strong enough.

I'm living this project vicariously through Liquid_snake, as it was supposed to be mine but money issues made me sell him my launcher. :(
Damn you going back to school! :D

hehe. He still has the right to call airsoft ###.

I wouldn't recommend for other people to do what I do with airsoft launchers, that's why I said "if you don't plan on shooting it, go airsoft".

I played airsoft many times did the whole buy the thousnads of dollers worth of plastic crap.. and sold it all
Moved to the real steel its much more fun when you cant see the wind takeing the plastic bb away from your targets besides airsoft parts are crap they break to easy. Also I can shoot my Ar in any weather not just any where above -7

And just as I told you before your going to kill somebody useing powder in your ### airsoft propane launcher

haha, total burn on Airsoft ;)

In all fairness he has contributed ome good vids and is probably old enough to make decisions conciously.

If safety;s a factor then more concern should be placed on the war pigs Sask brings home on any given friday. :D

hmmm seein that armalite brings back memories......

I will suggest that people visit www.37mm.com and look at the "MUST READ SAFETY PAGE".

Sxyglock, I will suggest that you look in the EE forums and spend a few bucks to buy a non-airsoft launcher for yourself before one of your shoots goes wrong.

I cannot suggest that anyone follow the airsoft route for a launcher. Buy a real gun that has been designed to handle the pressures associated with live ammunition.

Despite the fact that you've fired 80+ rounds through your launcher (including letting kids fire it) I do not believe it to be a safe action, and you're endangering yourself and those who you let use your launcher.
