What is a 41 Johnson worth?

Didnt some special forces use them in Sicily and Italy?... Maybe the FSSF? or was that just his machine gun? Not issued but still used?

Johnson LMG in Italy with FSSF.

The M1941 was used on a short trial against the Japanese with favorable results.

There were a couple at the Calgary gun show 2 years ago. Bubba had got to both with after market recoil pads, reblue etc. I recall the asking price was $1800 each. I would think that a good original one would be $2500 minimum and then it depends on how bad someone wants it.......

That sounds like a Winfield Sporter conversion done in the 1950's...recoil pad, monte carlo stock, hunting front sights, no bayonet lug, new barrel...

Here's one

This last one shows the 4 digit serial number ...but it starts with a zero...the number is way below the 500 mark

Thanks for posting, always nice to see a Johnson Rifle.
Is the rear adjustable sight missing or removed?
If you have time, it's cool how they disassemble (see the link with the red page) into 3 separate parts (rear butt stock, receiver, barrel),
said to have been for paratroop action with its compactness and the ability to reasemble in a very short time. Can't do that with a Garand. Maybe an M1 Carbine with Paratroop stock. Just a cool rifle!

The rear dove-tailed sight is missing , but has the sliding ramp .
Yeah, neat how it comes apart ,basically just pulling the two pins .
I've had the rifle further dissassembled to clean up the old grunge and re-lube .

i could not help myself from posting this hear. cleaned out the desk in the shop over the xmass hollidays, and found this. times they have a changed. thinkin i shoulda bought more now . came from Things Millitary, in calgary when bill first started.

I do hope that you realise that showing that tag constitutes legal proof of Cruelty to Dumb Animals (us)!

Sure wish there were still a few around at this kind of money.

HA HA... You just asked to see pictures of his Johnson... and then insulted him...

What.. anyone?...

No, no, don't make any mistake, it's the perfect candidate for a sprucing-up job!
I would easily envision one equipped with a CQB kit, reflex sights and a laser. Nothing can match the Johnson for that kind of job.
Sure, that long, slender barrel would have to be bobbed but it would look very professional with a Noveske muzzle brake and a proper camouflage job done tastefully in Krylon urban colors.
Ah, if it wan't so costly... :(
PP.
