This is sort of an open ended/ feeler question.
A good friend of mine has recently inherited a FN 1949. It is chambered in 7x57, the stock has the Venezulean army insignia stamped into the butt stock. The gun is completely unmolested and in phenomenal shape.
The only thing I can tell that is wrong with it is that it is missing 1 screw in the rear sight assembly.
We have only shot a couple of boxes of ammo through it since he got it.
I will post pictures later today.
He is debating selling it to start funding a decent bolt action rifle. I am trying to convince him to keep it, IMO this rifle is way cooler than any bolt action rifle could hope to be.
I am wondering what it is worth in the Canadian market, as I may attempt to buy it off of him is he decides he doesn't want it.
I don't really know much about them besides that it is the closest thing to a FAL we can legally own.
Thanks
