Hey guys, what is a fullwood USGI stock w/ all metal peices going for these days? Excellent condition. (like new)

Has the Army stamp and a "P" with a circle around it, what exactly is that?

For an M14 of course.

dunno think he means an m14

Can be had for as little as 25 USD plus shipping/handling from some US suppliers if you feel lucky. Or you can peruse the EE board here and see what some people mark up for the same items. US suppliers might, or sometimes they might not ship the item after charging you.

You decide what you're willing to pay for the items, pretty well everything for the M14 can be found on these boards.

I have one, and would like to sell it.

It is in great condition.. as if it was issued yesterday. 25 USD would be like stealing

Hey tbm, check this site and you will see that $25 USD is not like stealing, it's their true value... The canadian prices are retarted and most consider them... "stealing"...

P.S. My synthetic M14 stocks cost me $15 each...

As New, Walnut - The traditional wood. Original military walnuts are getting hard to find in good condition. Minor storage dings only. Metal is as new with original buttplate.
$85.00

I got 2 of freds birch $25 specials. I consider them to be very good/good condition. They've got little dimples/dents, but I'm not interested in a safe queen that will only be for show. In fact I think they were about the same condition as the Norc stock that came on the rifle.

I'm sure that the "As New" are pristine condition but even putting them in and out of the safe is going to put scruff marks and small dings into the wood. Get a lower "rated" product and see how it is. Its okay to get "the best" if you can, but most times "good enough" is just as good if not better.

I highly doubt that, but not wanting to call anyone a l*** , I'd challange you to describe how did you get that mark-up on the stocks you have.
I know I paid a heck of a lot more for mine.....
15$ each......

$15.00 each is what Numrich Arms used to sell them for before they raised the price this year to $33.75 for VG-EXC USGI synthetic stocks. They still sell the fair condition stocks for $16.85 but no longer ship them to Canada.

considering how much work goes in any of those stocks....
33.75 plus taxes, shipping, sanding, painting....
It took me several hours just to cut the stencils for the marpat.
all work in, I think it was more expensive than sending them to SKBY.
The amount of overtime I could have worked in that time exceeds by far the expectations....

I'll break it down for you:- for the guy that does one single stock.
the stock.... whatever you pay for it...
1. sanding : the sandpaper 3.45$ ; work 20min.
2. filling the selector cut/op-rog guide pin: materials JB weld 9$; Marinetex - 57$ We take JB, but it looks better with the Marinetex. Work : on hour
3. final sanding/ the filling trim. denat.alcohool 3.25$. 20 min.
4. priming. primer 7$ 15 min.
5. Painting... the paint 7$ 30 min.
6. clearcoating 7$. 20 min.

so buy the stock with whatever and add 37$ plus tax materials and 2h 45 min worth of your time non included the dead time between drying/ coatings, the mess and the inevitable cleanup... the whole thing is expected to take up to 4-5 days.

for camo jobs, add the cost of stencils, extra paint and the tremendous time/effort to cut them and spot paint those patterns . Did I mention the amount of disposable gloves one has to use?
if the stock is less than VG, then add the fiberglass repair kit (25$) and good luck with that.

To all these add the "blessed" curve of learning. You can take pride in your job and nothing equals that, but 90% of the times it will be visible an amateur job.

I am sorry I didn't send mine ot SKBY.it took me waaaay longer than the times aforementioned to get a decent job.

this whole description is my personal take on people that consider the prices that they see somewhere as the actual cost of using that product.
Famous is the Stevens rifle for 319$.

eltorro - DAR pointed out the crazy inflated prices for the synthetic stocks that appear on the EE - nothing to do with somebody painting one up and trying to recover some $$.
Big Mike - truth is that the wood M14 stocks really won't bring in a big dollar.....

Eltorro... Please don't assume I am lying about what I paid for my M14 USGI stocks... I have no need to lie... If you must know, here is the history behind my $15 USGI stocks...

I ordered my stocks from globaltrades.com... BEFORE they ran out... My stocks didn't show up, so I called... I spoke to a nice lady who said they were sold out... I told her that they had my money and I wanted my stocks... She then let me speak with the boss, Jimmy I believe, who then went on a search for the stocks, found me 3 of them in the warehouse, and because they were not in the condition advertised, he gave them to me at 1/2 price, $15 each... He refunded the difference to me and I was a happy camper even though I had to refinish the stocks myself!!!

Cheers

Jay, I appologize if what I said made it out like I was calling you a liar.
That was not my intention.
I was merely pointing out the difference between what sometimes seems to be a cheap deal and the exact outcome of the whole operation.
I bought from Numrich back when they were shipping here and I had to buy again...... no more shipping to Canuckistan.
They wouldn't even take my CC and ship it somewhere else in US. And I live 5 miles form the border.
So the last one I got was 3 times what I used to pay for in the States.
one of the dealers got a stash of them, but he wants 240$ for each, claiming they are M1A model!!! BS!
Maybe Marstar will bring some in!!!
