So I'm looking into picking up a used sxs locally and they want 350 used. Can anyone tell me if they think thats a fair price? If not what do you think would be. Fair price? It's a nickel and black wood stoeger. Thanks in advance.

As of right now it has no firing pins and it has been used as an instructions firearm but the owner is putting new firing pins back in it. Still a good deal at 350?

They are listed new for $429.00 at WSS for the blued version and $519.00 for the nickel version. You could probably find them cheaper elsewhere. It would have to be pretty much like new before I would pay $350.00 for a used one. The gun in question (being an instructions firearm that already requires new pins) is overpriced at $350.00 as far as I'm concerned.

Its not that it needed new pins.. the pins were removed for safety reasons for Instruction. I havent seen it since I took my course about a year ago but it looked brand new then and functioned flawlessly in that it ejected empty casings with no problems. I do agree that 350 may be a bit high but I think its reasonable... but I will be sure to make sure it is in very good condition before I shake on the deal. Thanks for your input.. Always appreciated

It will not like the cheap Winchester ammo. Just forewarning you. It sticks in the chamber and requires a stupidly big crack to open the action.
Runs real nice with brass hulls though.

There a good gun had one for a few years now, mine ejected shells at one time it was modified not to eject for cowboy shooting. Shot a deer with it 2 years ago accurate with cheap winchester slugs

About 10 bucks if you want a power bar extension for your wheel nut wrench.

350 for the nickel version is a steal. If its the matte nickel coating finish, not a price to write home about but certainly not outrageous.

I don't think the stoeger coach guns eject casings, just lifts them up a bit so you can manually remove.

Correct. With the cheap Winchester target ammo it requires a mighty crack just to open the action.
That was my point. I use one for skeet from time to time and it hates that ammo.

Then again all my shotguns despise that ammo.
