Sold a near mint one with adjustable stock. Couldn't get more than about $1600 and it took some time to get rid of. Good luck to your friend, might be better off trading.
I sold a used adjustable stock one for 1450$ about 6 month ago. Fixed stock is worth maybe 100 less. So depending on condition you are looking at 1300 to maybe 1500. They are not a bad gun but not a great gun either. My WS MCR was far more accurate, has better ergonomics and it retails for a 1000$ less.
They are a good gun that goes bang every time you pull the trigger no matter what. Problem is they lack the appeal of other modular customizable firearms that can be had for similar/less money. It's a quality firearm but it is what it is.
Thatd be a super rare deal IMO... ive been watching there prices for like 9 yrs now, most go for 1800-2200. I once saw some comfortech stock models go on sale for 1600.
For the price they command new ? Yes, for the most part.
IMO their build quality is on par with the price they go for new, but thats where it stops. The rest that it offers can basically be had in other guns that cost hundreds less.
Not a bad rifle it goes bang everytime. Things I did not like was the accuracy probably like 4 or so moa. Then to scope it reasonable you had two choices remove the rear sight completely and have a fairly normal cheek weld or leave the sight on and mount over it having a weird chin weld. Also the safety and magazine release you had to let go of the pistol grip to engage. So less ergonomic then other guns that cost less. So bad no but there are options that deliver more for less money so that hurts the resale value.
