What is better ?

I am thinking I want a Sightron scope for my 6 br and want to know your opinions on reticles . Fine cross hair or fine cross hair with a dot ? I shoot competion at ranges from 300 to 1000 metres . Thanks

There is no"best". Recommend trying various reticles on intended targets.

I went through that decision and went with the fine duplex cross hairs. Now that I'm using it, I kind of wish I went with the dot. It seems at least in my head that adjusting left-right, and up-down is a never ending back and forth. Where I at least imagine centering a dot is a more natural one step exercise. Is it centered? Yes-No.

The dot may be better if shooting F-class. As you could place the dot in the V-bull .
As said is it centred ? Yes or No
They may also have diferant sizes of target dots, more to consider.

The NP-2DD in the Nightforce is the one most of us use when shooting F-Class at least the ones I have seen. Take a look and I hope it will give you some incite for your choice, have fun and make sure you talk to Peter or Jerry when you decide.
