What is good paint for metl parts of Norinco 311?

Either send it to Arma-Coat and get it profesionaly done or go to Rona and grab some Krylon.

When it comes to painting metal you should get it professionally coated. KG Guncoat, duracoat, armacoat, pick your poison.

Canuk Tire Krylon hunting paint is great too, but wear and scratches off easily. Just hit it again when needed. Nice thing is it all come off with some acetone in the worst case scenario.

I've read on M4carbine that Aervoe is much more durable than Krylon. Check out the rifle painting tutorial by Pat Rogers over there. He claims high round counts and rough handling and the paint job looks almost new. No idea where to get this stuff in Canada though.

When I wanted a rough brush gun I found a Savage No4 Mk1 2 groove.
I then chopped it at 19 inch's and put a side carring sling.
For a tough finish I wiped it down with gasoline a couple time's and let it dry in the sun for a day.
I then put it in the oven at around 200F for a couple hour's and when I pulled it out I sprayed it with flat black Tremclad.
I did all that when I was 18-19, I'm 44 now and it's still on there.

I did the similar with a shotgun (minus gasoline, acetone is non-oil based and works better as a gun degreaser) and used flat black tremclad BBQ paint.

It does scratch, but you gotta want to scratch it.

I used this on the chrome trim around the edge of the grills (my car has 2, upper & lower).

Two months and many rocks later, no chipping... This stuff is awesome...

I'd 3M scotchbrite the intended areas, and tape off the push-pin/bolt-holes & any mating surfaces.

And use light coats, this stuff seems fairly thick compared to "spray-paint" (but way more durable)...

Available @ most auto-parts retailers (Autozone, NAPA, etc), comes in spray or 1qt can.

frontier firearms has ceramic spray paint by Wheeler. Says one can does 2 rifles. It is $40 a can plus shipping. Word is good on this product :)

I've used Arma-Coat several times. Awesome stuff! Professional.

I did cheap-out once though and bought some BBQ spray-paint that was recommended here on the forums. Biggest waste of my money and time. Never again. The nozzle on the can kept clogging every 3 seconds. The paint that did "spray" came out like water droplets. The paint, once dry, could be scratched off quite easily. Oh... and it looked like a 3rd world scavenged weapon.
