What is in the recent C21 list?

I am debating myself these days, to buy a 2019 Edgun Leshiy Classic second hand (from other part of Canada) or get a BNIB 2023 FX Pantera for a double cost from an official store.
And from here I am getting to a next point that is overlooked these days, shipping airguns. Transaction person to person is easy. If you need to ship it, declaring the content what is in the box and canadapost will most likely refuse to handle.

You don't need to tell them what the content is except maybe no to the answer if they ask if it is dangerous goods (because it's not a dangerous goods). If they want you to say what's in the box, go somewhere else. In fact, you are supposed to start a small business account to ship firearms and do the shipping label at home. Their software does not ask you what is being shipped.

How about importing airguns?
The Leshiy Classic was ones an on the shelf item in 2019.07 @ AGS for $2200 (I have a screenshot from that time). Yesterday ran into an incredible deal from Utah Airguns for $1100 USD.
Shall I expect difficulties if I order one? Me better send an email first to both UA and AGS before make a move.

Edit, I sent an email to UA they may know if any difficulties shipping across the border. I would never know if I don't ask.

I have a Crosman P1322 American Classic .22 (5.5mm) pump handgun. This is under the 500 fts. What handgun is this a replica to? Is/will this pellet pistol be on the banned list?

The full power one. That's the problem with c21 it just doesnt go after ones that look like real firearms..Someone during LGR registered air pistols as restricted, due to modding them. If you got a copy of the FRT, you'll find some FRT for Crosman pistols, 13xx, 22xx.

It's going to basically eliminate most of the sub 500 fps airguns.

Not even ones that resembles real firearms. C21 gonna kill the whole sub 500 fps market. Crosman 2240 for example. Their are registered restricted ones, same as 2289, 13xx, so any sub 500 would be a replica of their full power ones.

The 2240 was so awesome! I wish I never sold mine years ago...

Growning up we really didn't care about velocity. But alot of C21 airgun rules were something that was on the radar years ago, but many chose to ignore. Now we are here.

What a shame. I remember more than 15 years or so ago I bought this goofy Crosman air pistol, the T4. I don't think it lasted long on the market. Shot both pellets and BBs and was powered by the 12gr CO2. It was so not accurate, but it was sure fun for trying to hit pop cans. Nowadays something like this probably wouldn't be allowed to be produced due to all these replica laws.

Umarex for a while released a couple of fantastic air pistols which were mostly metal in tribute to the Beretta FS92 and Colt 1911. Both came in nice hard cases and the weight was fabulous. I remember buyers snatched these off the shelves at LeBaron, mostly as a nice collector's item since other air pistols were kind of goofy. LeBaron removed all of them as a result of some CBC piece in which the reporter faked recoil on one of the CO2 pistols. That's when I realized that for anyone who did not own one, they would probably be in shock that a sporting goods store would sell something allegedly so powerful it kicked back in the reporter's hands as she feigned surprise. It was so disingenuous. But that's the media for you...

I am noticing a growing trend in latest couple of years, but this is getting really ridiculous.
I ran into a discount at Utah Airguns for the Leshiy Classic (.177 cal) for $1100 USD vs last time seen in Canada 2019 for $2200 CAD.
Usually I like the check before buying things for more then a hundred dollar, so I sent them an email if they can ship it across the border to Canada. The problem I know that I cannot order things any longer to my USaddressInc because I cannot enter US do to a very well known reasons.
This is the answer I got from UA this morning:
" Unfortunately, we are unable to ship any products outside of the United States. So sorry for the inconvenience and let me know if you have any other questions! "
I have no further questions. This is a same reason that I stopped shopping from US couple of years now, and I got burned already several times here @ CGN why I am not buying from local businesses.

I think the Leshiy is only available in Canada from Airgun Depot. Haven't seen it anywhere else. Seems like the options are rather limited.

When I used to shoot airguns regularly I also found it frustrating how many more options were available in the US but not in Canada. And US shops won't ship to Canada. But that's the case with many things, unfortunately.

I am finding less limitations shooting airguns, this why I picked that path. And airguns can be both - tricky and challenging and fun to.

Unfortunately, seeing as how the Liberals are targeting airsoft, I don't think airguns are immune...

They are definitely cheaper in terms of ammo prices...I still have tens of thousands of pellets in various tins. They were fun to plink with, and even some small animal hunting as well as pest control. I still have several PAL rated ones but they all run off CO2 power plants which are not great in the winter. I had a Gamo Hunter Extreme - that thing was awesome though the cocking strength was beyond my natural strength. Wish I would have kept that - lots of squirrels and raccoons met their humane demise with that.

so what is the current ruling? I am interested in nice pellet pistol. I see some sites still have them for sale. The ones I like look like real guns (226, glock etc..). From what I am reading on the RCMP site, these are prohibited? I want a gun to take to camp and plink beer cans. If I am caught by a CO or a cop (they do patrol the area sometimes, am I looking at an expesive legal battle or worse, being someone's date at the prison prom?

Same as before.

I just went to the RCMP website and its says any gun that closely resembles a real version of it is prohibited. Most of the pellet guns are almost identical. Wouldn't that qualify?

RCMP is not 'Law'. See the last 2 sentences of Para2 of "Background", then Para 4 - "proposes". Then Look up the Actual LAW, not pony interpretation.
