What is it about "Tactical" Shotguns?

More like when the buyer doesn't put in enough range time to learn how to use them properly. :rolleyes:

I have no problem with mine, but I put in the range, and trap time. :D

How much does that rig weigh loaded up Calum?

You buy them for Zombies:50cal:

I've got an 870 Marine Magnum (the shiny one with composite furniture). I've added Wilson Combat tritium ghost ring sights, buttcuff and sidesaddle shell holders, one of Badboybeeson's sling plates, a BFG Anaconda bungie sling, and a weapon light and a laser aiming module on a tri-rail mount clamped to the mag tube.

I plan on adding an oversize safety button, a stainless steel follower, and maybe a mag clamp with rails, so that I can mount the light and laser on that and add one of Badboybeeson's bayonet mounts, since the tri-rail would get in the way of the bayonet mount.

As I said to a friend a few weeks ago, "it's stopped being a project gun and started being ridiculous, but I'm having fun".

I've taken to using it for rabbits, pending the zombocalypse. Works just fine on bunnies with no.6 heavy game loads.

An AR carbine collapsible stock is designed the way it is because of the position of the buffer and spring. What is the purpose of installing this pattern of stock on a firearm that has no mechanical parts behind the receiver?

There are recoil absorbing "buffer tubes" made for mounting AR collapsible stocks on 870's.

I'd think that such a setup would add considerable expense and complexity for minimal practical benefit for most shooters, but if you need a really short LOP, are recoil sensitive, and only an 870 will do, I could see it being useful for some.

That makes sense. Thought it might have just been the LKF for MKs or GSKs.

MK might mean "Mall Kninja". Not sure about GSK. Might be the German equivalent of our own elite Armchair Commandos :D.
I did some enquiring and this is as close as I can find .......

LKF = Look Kewl Factor
MK = Mirror Kommando. Dresses up and poses in front of a full length mirror; rarely gets out to do any shooting.
GSK = Gun Shop Kommando. Closely related to MK, probably has a mirror as well.

I loved my 14" zombie gun.....mostly 'cause it pissed off the SG snobs at the club (especially when I obliterated thier skeet/clays scores with it) and even some here (hence the start of this thread) :)

Besides, if I want any other gun that will put 15-20 .25 cal lead balls into the target in a second or less, I need 12(3)...and I aint gonna get it.
