What is standard military weight for 5.56?

i also heard something about them not signing something like a land-mine treaty? (could be rumour)

With good reason.

Landmine have a very real tactical role, especially when utilizes as the US and Canada deployed them - fields marked, well mapped and recovered properly before vacating the area.

When used as the Soviets and the Cambodians did under Pol Pot - sown frm the back of helicopters, unmapped, never recovered, basically used to deny access to an entire area to people - they are a recipe for disaster and decades-long suffering...

The front cavity on a SMK (Sierra Match King ) has nothing to do with expansion

Its the length (and assisted by the cannelure added to rounds for autoloading weapons that effectively pre stresses the bullet jacket) that causes the yaw, and then forces on the jacket make it rupture and fragment if the impact velocity is high enough.

Hornady 75gr OTM is available for civilian sale - they just offer a LE only round, which is downloaded from the old Mil round that used to be used.
