Well, to be somewhat correct, one would say that moderators is a term used in Europe, suppressors is a modern North American term and yet too many folks call the devices by the "Hollyweird" name that has been forced upon the unknowing: silencers.

I bought a hunting backpack (great by the way) from a Norwegian company. Have a look at this website, all the hunters there have a sort of cylinder at the end of the barrel. Anyone has a clue what that is ?

With the barrel sticking up that high and the angle of the cut it would be my opinion it is a piece of foam to protect the barrel.
If a gun doesn't go "bang" in the woods does the deer still go FLOP?Damn, I'd miss that Bang.
