what is the best 10mm auto

This one is now sold...and it has a really nice trigger! :)
:bsFlag:

Well...you must have had the trigger lightened and smoothed.

I own 2 S&W Gen III pistols....1006 and 4506-1 and both triggers are quite heavy.

Single action pull on both is 6 lbs. with lots of take up....

Not sure what the double action pull is(my trigger guage doesn't go over 8 pounds)...but it is close to dragging a burlap sand bag down a gravel road.

So the question is...

Who did the work on the trigger for you:confused:...

Well, perhaps I am less critical of the trigger... It's probably as heavy as you say but mine have been really smooth. The last 1006 I had was like this too. And so was the 1066 I had before that. :)

Generally, the third generation Smith Autos are known to have pretty nice trigger pulls.

Jeff.

:bsFlag: Well that's not very nice...

I would suggest trying out a GLOCK 20 before purchasing one....from what I heard the grip is a bit on the large side making it impractical for most shooters...

The grip is a little on the large size but I really don't think it would be impractical for most shooters.:)

I can still shoot mine half decent and I don't have huge hands (or even large hands!).

As 350 said though, it would be a good idea to try one first.

Just yesterday I saw in a store a brand new Kimber Stainless Target 11 chambered in 10mm...

They were asking just under $1300.00 for it...

No I am not going to say where it is because I'm still considering buying it for myself... :D

what was the Springfield Omega 10mm like anyone know?

Well since this has popped up again I have revised my thoughts a bit...

The best 10mm of all time is the Glock 29 with an extended 4.25" barrel.

It can be compact if you want it or you can use full length G20 mag's with a Pierce mag spacer to give a SF G20 grip.

It will take any 10mm load that you can safely fire in a semi-auto and keeps coming back for more.

You can also get a spare 40S&W barrel and shoot cheaper more readily available 40S&W bullets or a 357 Sig barrel for fun.

I'm working on getting a Advantage Arms 22lr conversion kit for it but right now AA doesn't make an extended barrel model that is legal length here in Canada.

Best 10mm?

I really liked my S&W stainless 1066 with nite sites when I had it.

These days I make do with these:

Colt Delta Gold Cup and Colt Delta Elite [with .40 S&W barrel fitted - thanks Gunnar!]
