I like the Savage first then the Vangaurd, both have good triggers. My Vangaurd trigger will go under 3 lbs.You would not want a hunting rifle much lighter. The Savage will have a Accu Trigger, even the non Accu triggers can be made to work nice. The money you would save between the Savage and the Tika you could invest in better optics.

I'd go with the Vanguard, not the moa guaranteed model; for about a hundred bucks less. But I don't own any of them so what the hell do I know.

Savage has a reputation for accuracy and value, this is the one I would get.

You can even tre the stevens 200, for around 330$ you can upgrade the optics and get a sub-moa or even 1/2 MOA shooter.

i have one in 243 and its up to its reputation :)

IMHO

I would suggest you go to the gun shop and pick these handle these rifles for yourself.
I prefer the Tikka as it will outshoot the three and has a way better finish, it comes with a 1" accuracy gurantee vs none from Savage and 1.5 from Weatherby.
Tikka also have the stiffest stock of the three with no flexing in the forend of the rifle which gives better accuracy. They also dont show a line down the middle of the stock like Savage where you can see where the to halves were put together.
Some guys love Savage some Weatherby and the same for Tikkas.

Cheers!!

Loaded question LOL, well I have all 3 of them and I can honestly tell you I love my T-3s over my 116 and Wby.
However everyone has an opinion and, you can't go wrong with any of the listed above. They all shoot, and there all great mid range $$ rifles.
Good luck with your selection.
The reason I pick T-3s I like the way the bolt works opens and closes and your hand fits as you push it ahead with forward motion bolt seems to close automatically. Something that has helped me with a second shot first hand field experience. Plus there Lite and point very well for my eye.
At least I gave you a reason.
But its up to you.

So you all use the same brand of ammo to right? becuase asking the guy next to you isn;t going help if you arn't.

the only diffrence you are going to get is if you use a diffrent grain of bullet other then that you should be fine. it may make your groups go from 1" to 2" but big deal that is still in the kill zone at 300 yards

WRONG. there could be massive P.O.I. changes. have a little more respect for your game and educate yourself on these things.

I had a 308 winchester that would hardly even print on the same target a 100 meters when i switched from 165 to 180 grain bullets, not saying this is true with your rifle but it would be worth checking

Same here. my .270 with 150gr Brand X was a nice tight 1" at 100yrds. went to 150gr Brand Y and it wasn't even on paper.
