what is the best one????

I was able to handle the Tikka and the Vangaurd the other day. The Tikka is lighter with a detachable mag, bolt throw has a shorter arc, points really nice. The Vangaurd is a little muzzle heavy which should balance out with a scope on, floor plate mag. nicer feeling stock. I would choose the Tikka for the detachable mag. Our Savage dealer is out of stock, so that says allot as well for that brand.

I have had only one gun ever that would shoot the same point of aim with 2 different loads one a 160 pro hunter and the second a 140 Nosler Parts, this was in my 7mm RUM and with hand loads.
I will second the or third the motion of ammo of different brans shooting the same POA, Its damd near impossible. The PSI range OAL of the ogive and powder charge all changes with factory ammo from one to the other even brand X say 180s to brand X 165s

My 375 shoots close to the same impact with different weight bullets but it is the only rifle that I have owned that does, some differences are drastic and differences in temps can also show wide variations with different loads.May I suggest a stevens with the savings going into a spelling class??Or ya not care nun no how

none of the above---Buy an older build rifle from the exchange forum that has some quality and a trigger thats descent----Cowboy

I so agree with this. Not only do you most likely get a better rifle for less money with rings in most cases. You are also helping out a fellow nut sell off one of his /her rifles so he/she can buy something else from a fellow nut.

Why buy a new cookie cutter rifle stamped out by a machine and plunked in a box when you can buy a better quality older rifle for cheaper??? Makes no sence to me but its your money.

I would get the Vanguard/ I have the Vanguard in 270 WSM. I like the feel of the Monte Carlo stock, brought my eye in perfect alignment. IMO Tika has smoothest bolt of the 3 then the Vanguard then the Savage. I personally like the hinged floor plate vs a det mag, one less thing to worry about. Vanguard in head to head comaprision vs Tika by Chuck Hawks his opinion so take for what its worth. Vanguard edged out Tika. Get the one that fits u best, Vanguard did over other 2 for me and it came with a decent recoil pad.

That is why i have ssssssoooo many guns !!!

When i go hunting, if i need ammo, i've so many guns that if i need some ammo ( 'cause i left mine at home ) someone in my hunting group will have some of whatever i want :D

If every animal is dead where it stood you should only need one bullet anyways, but I guess way back when I was eighteen I knew everything as well.I guess it was a good thing in my hunting party when I was a kid there were guns in 30-30 308 30-06 7mm mag 338 and 375 and some others so no matter what gun I had when I forgot my ammo someone had some for me.Some may have even had a gun when I remembered my ammo but left my gun at home........tongue in cheek,

Out of the three rifles you mention the T-3 is the better rifle. Better features, better quality and better accuracy. It is outselling and outshooting everything out there right now... and I mean everything.
