Depends on what you are going to be shooting, i.e. just plinking or shooting an action game such as IPSC. People will need to know what the purpose of the load will be before they can give you some pointers.

For starters though, stay away from lead bullets in a Glock.

Here is what I use in my G-17
115 gr fmj 4.6 win 231 powder
124 gr fmj 4.3 win 231 powder
both loads are good for me...no misfires,no ejection problems

Very true. Excessive amounts of lead will remain in the bore and can raise pressures to an unacceptable level. Some people do use lead, but it has to be alloyed to increase hardness. Some just clean the barrel every 200 rounds or so when they shoot lead. This has been discussed many times on the GlockTalk reloading forum. Go check out the weath of info there, it is mostly Glock specific. If nothing else Big Slick, Koski, Lonnie, and El Ron are good for a laugh...

For our uses in Canada and as a nod to safety, I would recommend sticking with FMJ or CMJ. You really don't save enough to justify the lead exposure from plain lead bullets IMHO.

The best deal going are either the Montana Gold or Frontier CMJ. They are lead with a thin coat of copper to completely encapsulate it. I like the Frontiers myself. You can get them at Marstar or Higginson's Powders. Quite a few members with experience recommend them very highly. I tried them and haven't looked back.

If your happy with a factory load of a certain specificed weight and profile than thats where I would start. Only load 20 or 50 at first, make sure your happy with the reliability, accuracy ect before making large batches.

i'll will be shooting ipsc, are fmj's better the tmj or cmj's? are the 147 grain bullets ok for a glock load?i was told 147 grain bullet 3.8 grains of powder "unique" and fmj, sound right? fmj and tmj has got me wondering if theres a difference between the 2.
????????i know the fmj has lead exposed on the back and tmj's are totally covered, am i correct in saying that? whats the diff in performance and price?/

115gr because they are cheaper. FMJ or JHP.
I would suggest FMJ right off the bat.. its the my first choice for high volume reloading.
I use "titegroup" powder ( 1750 rounds per pound)

pound of titegroup is $26
1000 FMJ's are $76
1000 primers are about $30

so you can reload a 9mm 115gr FMJ for about 10 cents, so a box of 50 is about $5.45.

4.0gr titegroup
COL 1.1
