what is the best value 9mm pistol out there?

I found my glock22 to be the best shooting pistol I have owned I have a lone wolfe 9mm barrel for it and it has adjustable sites, now if you don't care about the adjustable sights the girsan yavuz regard is a sweet clone one of the nicest knock offs i have owned some would argue nicer than the original but the sights on the 92fs are not very adjustable at all so you would shoot it and compensate but very nicely finished for the price!! I have also owned a ruger sr9 and it was a very nice pistol as well for the price point norc's are great but very hit and miss and if your only buying one, a norc shouldn't be it as it may be off a bit. Where as one of the "real" manufacturers at least you get what you order every time and if not you can return it because its defective, with a norc its, whew, yaaahhh!!!! its not defective!!!

One more vote for the Girsan Regard/Yavuz 16. I'm very impressed with mine.

I picked mine up on Monday.......I am totally floored by the fit and finish of this pistol. For the price, this is by far the best value out there.

The problem with the word "never" is it seldom is. I have to say I see a Girsan in my near future. FS or the compact version...........

That is one nice pistol.

For $1000-ish, some version of a CZ. I've owned most of the pistols mentioned in the first 8 pages of this thread, and of all of them, I personally like the CZ the best. They work, they feel nice, and they shoot well. I like my shiny 75B New Stainless, but most other people I took shooting did better with one of the SP-01s. If you're going to get an SP-01, I'd recommend the basic model over the tactical. The tactical has a lanyard loop on the bottom in place of a slide release. It hurts when you forget that.

For $600-ish, I'd say a Jericho. It's basically a different looking CZ, and the mags on my older model interchange with my CZ. Dunno if the new gen will or not. I think they've gone up to $750 brand new right now, but still. For all the crap they come with it's hard to go wrong.

For less than $400-ish, a Norc 1911 9mm. I've had a bunch of these and kicked the #### out of all of them. They shoot about as good as any new shooter will, and they work no matter what you do to them.

Honorable mentions to the Girsan, which is very well made but has a Beretta trigger, and the PPX, which has an awesome trigger but wasn't pretty enough for me.
