What is the best?

The nice thing with handgun, guy's will let you try there's if you ask nicely ;)

In 40S&W, I always had a soft spot for the CZ 75 Tactical Sport... eventualy, I'll have to break the piggy bank and get one.

Thanks for all of the advice. I have been able to go to the gun shop and get the feel for a couple. I think that I am leening towards the Sig P226 in 9mm. I will get a chance in the next couple of days to try one, so that will be the final test. My next question is, which gun store in Vancouver is the best to deal with? Or are there some good online stores to deal with?

The "Best" one to get is obviously the one I'm gonna sell! Ha ha! Just kidding. But honestly, try out as many as possible to get a good feel for it. Then objectively decide on your budget. Then quadruple it. You are in for an addiction, make no mistake about it. You will spend way too much in a vain attempt to have it all.
In the words of the hockey great-***-t.v. commercial celeb, Messier, "Betcha can't just have one".
(Must take medication now.)

Start saving now, and read peoples reviews comments etc. Then shoot as many different guns as you can. I really don't understand the point of asking 10000 strangers what gun you should buy. You may as well ask us which girl to marry

PPS Sorry to sound like an ass, but if you read through these threads, seems that this same question gets asked every week. Its like asking which is better Glock or 1911
