What is the biggest caliber im aloud to have in Canada?

I don't believe there is any law against the really big bores, the 600 and 700 Nitro or the .50BMG necked up to .729" Wildcat, or the 4 bore(over 1").

155 MM M777 Howitzer. :D

Nope I've got a 178mm job that's perfectly legal.
Made it myself out of some P-110 casing cutoffs that were laying about.

The price of black powder and softballs keeps me from shooting much other than on real special occasions.:dancingbanana:

The only thing that can hold you back from buying a .600 or 700 nitro express is the cash. That and a dislodged shoulder. Buy a nice Cheytac in .408. and shoot invisible terrorists till your hearts content.

No such thing as a maximum caliber or the concept thereof in Canada .... You could buy a 16 inch naval gun and it'd be non-restricted, the ammo on the other hand would have to be of the "inert projectile" variety.

Rifle? Who need a rifle? Use cannon!!!

when does it stop being a gun and start becoming small artillery?

Canadian Military states that small arms are 25mm or less, but that being said the bushmaster m242 is 25mm and I sure as f**k wouldn't fire it from the shoulder yet a CarlG is 84mm and it is fired from the shoulder. So I have no idea what separates a firearm from a gun
