What is the biggest issue with listing your address?

When someone is looking for Powder, bullets, brass or whatever, they do not have their address listed.

Joe is looking for Re22, 300 Win Mag brass, and Large Rifle Magnum Primers.
I know where there is some but Joe has not listed his address!

It is not worth my time to ask for his location in order to share.

Joe does not have to list his address but GVRD or Upper FV is general enough.

Just a thought . . .

In the event there is any huge amount of negative feedback just remember there is an acronym . . .

I actually sent a PM to someone who had posted a "local sale only" add asking where he - or maybe a she - lived. He, she, or it responded with 'Why do you want to know?" :rolleyes: :confused:

Idiot specifying local only with no location is a clear sign to stay away. Darwin award fixes stupid.

You know, Boo....it takes a thousand inklings to make a clue, and some folks don't even have an inkling, do they? I had a good chuckle on this one.

The "location" thing is especially important when someone is looking for powder or primers as they are a hassle to ship. I think some people are just too paranoid... or I am too naïve.
 
PS Hey Boo was there a good amount of Kokanee spawning this fall? Used to park at the Oasis and walk over to watch them swim through the culvert on 97. Was trying to explain to my kids and wife why its so cool to watch those green and red fish that make McLeese Lake so special.
 
Yes, we usually get a pretty good Kokanee run in Sheridan Creek which creates a good show for those that notice it. We are also fortunate that a good number of the Kokanee in our lake are shore-line spawners. Fishery's also stocked the lake with Blackwater strain rainbows 7 or 8 years ago in an effort to compete with the coarse fish and they are doing quite well with several in the 6 to 7 pound range being taken each summer.
 
totally agree on this one , what's worse is the attempted funnies .
We used to stop & check the Kokanee run at the culvert too , on our trips to Salmon Arm , great for the kids & so convenient .

Not sure I've seen the same threads as you guys but usually members have their location in the user header right beside their post

Not everyone does, I've seen the local sales only ad with no location.

Also the where can I find "this locally" threads with no location.
 
+1, For those concerned just pick close by postal code. I use V5G 2J2. Just make sure you don't speed in that area :).
 
The same people who refuse to post an address, will block out serial numbers on pictures of guns they post. There's no logic to it, but it just seems safer.
 
If at least they posted the approximate region; eg: N.E. ON or Vancouver Island, it would give you an idea of whether the shipping cost made it worthwhile to respond to them. Yes, I posted my location too!
