What is the biggest issue with listing your address?

The two that really brought this thread to light was one looking for Re22 powder, and another looking for any powder.
Had they listed their location it might have occurred to me to help them.
In future . . . No Location . . . on ignore which is just another way of activating the "Good For You" acronym.

Did I mention I bought one pound of Re22 and IMR4064 the other day and could have bought more?

When someone is looking for Powder, bullets, brass or whatever, they do not have their address listed.

Joe is looking for Re22, 300 Win Mag brass, and Large Rifle Magnum Primers.
I know where there is some but Joe has not listed his address!

It is not worth my time to ask for his location in order to share.

Joe does not have to list his address but GVRD or Upper FV is general enough.

Just a thought . . .

In the event there is any huge amount of negative feedback just remember there is an acronym . . .

I started a thread about this exact "situation" awhile ago...I was not quite so diplomatic as you. Same idea with sales. I've noticed a lot more folks are including general location info. I for one appreciate it.

I actually sent a PM to someone who had posted a "local sale only" add asking where he - or maybe a she - lived. He, she, or it responded with 'Why do you want to know?"

Sometimes you just can't fix stupid. :bangHead:

Some major intelligence there.

I notice too, that some people have been watching too many spy movies when they are making a sale or purchase via PM. No name, no phone number. I don't like the demand for a scan of my PAL, but I usually comply.

I don't get it either. It's not like just a city/town, even one as small as mine, is going to give anything away. But it does make for a giant pain looking for reloading items.

I find even with just regular posts, when discussing hunting or ranges or CFOs, with not so much as the province listed makes the input a bit less useful.
