What is the deal with 7.62x39mm ?

Wolf ammo (Tula) isn't approved for import? WTF?

It's well made in a modern plant, what could be the problem with it being approved?

Only Tula 7.62x39 is approved. However they ONLY sell to Wolf in the US. This increases the cost by at least 11% because of excise tax. That is if Wolf will export it to Canada. They don't really seem to care. I have talked to them many times about it.

I see "CanAm" sells the stuff for 169 a case delivered.....is it good ammo...is that price for dealers only or can anyone get that price?

Anybody. The Canadian market is awash with the stuff. Very good price, especially if you don't live in the Vancouver area and need it delivered.

FWIW: PMP will not sell to Canada (no plant capacity). PPU is imported by Bell. Wolf is not approved. S&B is imported by London Arms.

What, EXACTLY, does "not approved" mean? Is there some agency that inspects the quality of each brand and decides whether we can buy it or not? Or is this some sort of political thing, like the ammo is made in sweatshops by 8 year old asian kids?
