LOL, Hey I figured it was a bad picture :p the black finish is Polycoat . I got one, that pic up top looks grey on my screen which if it were not blued would have to be dark stainless or poly.:D

So sorry if I miss understood you, but do you have the black poly or Glossy blued? Good gun?

I like the polycoat, it cleans up nice, and if at all careful you won't mess it up.
The inside of the frame, and slide show some tooling marks, but with a rouge polish you can make it slick as... Great gun, accurate as all get out.:D

The CZ75 is an excellent gun! I have a pre-B and would like to pick up a version in 10mm (one of the other companies' excellent 'copies')
Cheers

Well, not sure what it's officially called, but after 23 years of use, I like to refer to the finish on mine as "Crappy Looking"!:D

Seriously though, to me the so "called poly" coat on mine looks just like Tremclad - thick and glossy. Only one difference though: apparently it chips pretty bad!

I just picked up this '84 vintage Pre-B and got it for a good price, 'cause apparently the previous owners weren't very careful with the finish. Shoots like a dream though - I love everything about it but the finish...:)

I'd really like to clean it up and get it blued, but I'm afraid that would cost more than the gun is worth...

If you can get it blasted, you can finish it yourself with Armacoat or Duracoat relatively easily.

Just a word...
While the 'High gloss blue' on the CZ 75 is pleasing to the eye, it is a royal
PITA for day to day wear....
Every little rub, smear, finger print 'jumps out' at you....
I would go with the polycoat finish...more durable, less hassle to maintain.
Remember the old Chinese curse..."May you get what you wish for!";)
