What is the "FS" on the end of Glock model names?

The "SF" stands for "short frame" on the Glock 21SF because the handle is a few millimetres shorter from front to back but the width of the frame is still the same dimensions as the regular Glock 21. The Glock 36 has a slimmer frame.

Anyway, I think that all the SF and FS marking is just dealer's "jargon". It is not mention anywhere on the Glock website. Only the "C" for compensator is official.

Right side of the gun frame, in front of the take down lever, just behind the rail. "SF"

But you are correct, it is not mentioned on Glock's site. I also just looked to try and find a link to show what was correct. The only one that is is the "slimline" subcompact g36. Even if it means I'm wrong, I'd love for someone to find something official that tells me whther slim or short is correct. I believe I read (always a great source ) that the difference between g21 and g21sf, is 2.5 mm in length, which makes the short make more sense. But if anyone can prove I'm wrong, I'd appreciate it, so I could be right.
