What is the lightest 1022 available ?

Though we covered this.
Tacso barrel or Magnum research barrel if you can find one.
A tacsol charger barrel would be 2oz lighter.
Any aluminum receiver. A bolt from dlask scolloped.
Axiom 10/22 stock.
If you go the rimfire central. It should have mine and the one I copied.
I had the CH22 AR charging handle version.
With a trs-25 it was iirc
3.75lbs loaded with ammo.

I got a Stainless steel, Alum trigger guard, 8.5" .920 Dlask heavy barrel, Barska 2x20 scope, syn ruger stock and its 4lbs 13.5 oz. without mag and ammo. I'm sure if I go with a lighter profile barrel, poly trigger guard I could get it lighter. But it had a 4.5lb diet removing the SR22 kit, fake suppressor and BUIS I had originally on.

To the OP....Do you want the lightest 10/22 build or a reasonable light weight 10/22 for kids?
The first involves 300$ barrels and aftermarket everything.

The ATI stock you mention, is that the AR wannabe?
If so you may just want to move to a cheap compact birch stock.
cheap on the EE, short pull. Nice for kids.
Also, a .920 barrel in steel can add 4-5 lbs

The good thing about the axiom stock is it fits everyone and its the same or cheaper price than most wood stocks.
Correct though
$300 for barrel, $125 stock, $350 10/22.
However you can sell the stock and barrel.
Or cheaper to build ground up. By about $100-$200 more if you are silly and bought an sr22.

Amazon.ca had the axiom stocks.
Got mine $82 including shipping
Its more now but shop around.
Shouldnt be over $100!!!!

Cabela's.ca $120 + shipping + tax - out of stock
Canada Safety Source $130 + shipping + tax - in stock
Amazon.com $115 + exchange and possible import tax

These are the only ones available in Canada on the first 6 pages of Google. Maybe you can help more with an actual list price for one available in Canada?

I have seen a few in the 65-80$ range on the EE.

Ive done the Nordic / tscsol build,so i know the costs involved,.He has a Henry Single shot, its a PITA. We havr a 1022 in a ATI Stock, but its too heavy..ill try the Axiom and tacsol.

With all the mods on his list, which ones save how much weight? I want to do a light weight budget build so I want to make a dollar per ounce list from your list and start with the most effective. So could someone list the weight savings of each item mentioned from the stock parts?

Thanks. I have no idea what the stock parts way

I think the barrel is the biggest weight save.you get an aluminum bull barrel at a light weight but its gonna cost ya $300 new,or $200 used ,if you can find one. Airwolfs build at 3.75 is the lightest ive seen, but Robertmac,s build is not much more and probably didnt cost as much.

Im not sure what a stock 10/22 weighs. Might be a little lighter.

But mines stainless steel ( doesn't help weight ) with a all metal trigger guard, 8.5" dlask barrel, 2x scope, syn stock, with a hammer kit, and extended handle. Im happy with the weight it is at.

Heres all the weight I removed from it. Thats a SR22 chassi, A2 grip, CTR stock, fake can, BUIS.
