What is the lowest price decent centerfire handgun on the market today?

Tokarev TT-33 - 7.62x25

+1
Just ordered one from Dr. Deals. Mostly I'm curious about the calibre which is supposed to be a load of fun. I agree it's not easy to find or cheap though

I also have a Girsan Regard (Beretta 92s clone, paid ~$450) and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Beautiful workmanship and finish equivalent to the original. Shoots great as far as I can tell (sold my previous pistol 20 years ago).

Bersa TPR9 in 9mm. Brand new $550 and the spare magazines are under 40 bucks. The TPR9 is truly ambidextrous, DA/SA and does not require a trigger pull to field strip for normal cleaning. It has a lot of standard features that you would expect on products worth twice as much.

My definition of "decent" doesn't include any S&W SD9VE in it. Horrible gun.

M&P is a solid gun. The 2.0 shoots nice.
CZP10 is great too. The "C" grip is short, and the "F" is crazy long. lol! Match it to your hand size.
A used CZ75 SP-01 Shadow is fantastic, but might be too expensive for you.

If you want to keep it cheap then the Norinco NP22 wins.
I picked on up on the EE for $250 and it came with an UPLuLA mag loader. Norcs definitely aren't pretty but they work great and ultimately this is what matters. A pretty gun that doesnt work is a major disappointment. (I had this experience. I sold it and lost big.)

CZ 75 or SP01, Grand Power K100 or Q100, or a NP 22

another vote for the sd9. look around and you can get for the same price as the sd9ve. a glock copy for 1/2 the price but all the same reliability and (ymmv) points better than a glock. i put 1600 rounds through it on a black badge course with crap ammo and had one failure to fire. 1911 guys could not keep their guns running.

not a lot of aftermarket, but you can do the trigger if you want (caveat emptor) and there's a threaded barrel for it now.

In order to be a Glock clone, it needs to share Glock parts. Having a plastic lower, doesn't make something a Glock clone. Nor can be used in the same sentence. Yeah there is a reason why it is 1/2 the price. It's 1/2 the gun. S&W Sigma was one of the worst guns ever made. Then S&W brought it back as the SD9. When my father was issued one, I said man they really hatted you. Also reliability doesn't matter when it doesn't shoot as accurate.

.38 Special, not 9mm, but clean, used S&W M&P/Model 10s or Colt Official Police service revolvers are generally very reasonably priced, and are solid, reliable, good shooting guns.

Where? I keep my eyes open but most Model 10s or Official Police are prohib. The ones I do see that are Restricted normally cost more than some of these new 9mms.

How about the Bersa 9mm? No experience but definitely affordable.
