What is the most popular bullet design for 455 Webley?

I use a lee mini bullet. bullets cast with wheelweights weigh about 310 grains.
I bought the mould because the bullet has a hollow base. It shoots as good as I can. I think a hollowbase bullet closer to the origional 265 grains would be better, but haven't come across a mould yet.

I just got a bunch off a guy who advised they would be heavier than 265 grain, what are you loading behind them? I am planning on using Unique.

I don't know if there is a 'best' all round design but if I had to pick one, and being a Keith fan:), it would be something along the line of the Lyman # 452423, a 245gr Keith Pl. base. I've used that in the slightly longer 45 ACP & 45 Auto Rim cases.
Checking in my old well worn copy of the 1st Edition Lyman Handbook of Cast Bullets, there are four bullets with load info listed for the 455 Colt or Webley. The bullets are;
# 457401........190gr PB
# 457127........195gr PB
# 457195........225gr HP
# 454190........250gr PB
If this info is of help or interest to you, send me a PM. I could scan & send it to you.
