I'm sold on beam scales. I don't trust digitals.

I'm a tech junkie but when loading at or near max charges I don't trust them enough to put my face behind the loads.

Being me, I'd still check digital weighed charges on a beam scale so what's the point.

Like I said, that's just me.

10-10 Scale for me. I use a Redding powder measure and throw just below the charge and trickle the remainder on the beam scale. I find it very accurate and once you get the hang of it pretty fast. I tested it against a chargemaster and it was not any slower.

The new ones are as good as the old, still US made ohaus reliability. Probably why Scott Parker leans towards those.

Anyone use/have used Ohaus-branded only scales? I'm looking at one that is in perfect condition, looks to basically be the 10-10 without the green colour and RCBS branding.

My Chargemaster cost me less that $350 from the USA, and it is plenty accurate for loading for hunting, and informal target shooting. If you watch the readout each time you remove the pan and powder, you effectively verify the zero of the scale for every charge.

I haven't seen or heard that yet, but it wouldn't surprise me at all. I bought one about 6 months ago and it is identical to the old ohaus in every way, except for the RCBS branding.
