What is the most reliable Norinco Dominion Arms pistol?

I am familiar with the 1911 government models. They go bang when you hit the business button! They're rough but make excellent guest guns. The only stove pipe I encountered was after some modifications. Got that sorted out though. Out of the box I have experienced no issues.

cheers,

1911. Still in the sealed bag. Has never tried to escape to hurt someone on their own. Safe and reliable, I should name him Sam.

1911 is great if you are good to sand and smooth it out as will have rough edges and such and becomes awesome once you put in the work a bit
came like this just added the pearce finger grips

then went nuts on brownells and the like now is this

but my suggestion if you just want a out of the box shooter the NP22
although a light smoothing with some high grit sand paper did smooth the action it Always shot great just added hogue grips as i found the stock ones craptastic and no grip

My 1911 shoots every bit as good as my SIG, although the trigger is heavier it isn't gritty. The bluing on it is actually very good. The sights look awful, but the POI is dead on. I got it as a project gun, and never got around to it. For one thing, you can sink a pile of money in it (the steel on the frames is as good, or some gunsmiths say better than most) but the registration will always say Norinco, and that severely limits re sale, no matter what you do to it. What it is, is an excellent gun FOR THE MONEY, and it makes a good starting gun if you want to personalize it

Just a side note, other than the 1911, I'm not familiar with the Norinco's. Do they make a P220 clone in 45acp?

Don't think a gun can get much simpler that the Tok clones. Had mine in 9mm for... 7(?) years now... Not a single ftf, fte, stove pipe, or failure of any kind. Nothing done to it except cleaning every 400-500 rounds. Only holds 8 in the mag though.

I only have experience is with the Norinco NP28 which is a 1911 style double stack in 9mm. It was quite rough when i first got it but always goes bang.

The only weak point was the magazines which needed constant tweaking but now work well after tempering. The heat treat / tempering on the feed lips on the mags was very poor and the lips kept opening up. I heat treated them and they now work flawlessly.

Since I got it it has had a lot of work done to it and is no longer recognizable as a norinco. I have converted it so can now can shoot both 9 and 40 and has been completely transformed. It makes a pretty good poor mans standard IPSC pistol for beginners but mags are difficult to source.

I don't think I've ever had one that didn't run and run...my commander 1911 was perhaps my most accurate...but the np22 was really quite impressive for that or any money....

1911 clones are very reliable, haven't seen too much banter on the working end of them, had a 58 sig clone and i hated it, i tried to love it, put new grips on it, but just couldn't find any reason to hold onto it so it had to go but i think it was more the cosmetics of it rather than the function and the government models f the 1911 come with no trace of china markings for the purest haha i have owned several of them they have always ran very well
