Like the title says, I want to know what is the value of that rifle ???

Tikka M595 Master Sporter

tikka-ms.jpg

As the new T3 Sporter is on the market now, I hope the value of the *old* M595 M/S will drop a bit :p

Will the caliber have influence the value ?
I now they made them in 17 Rem., 22 Rem., 22 PPC, 22-250, .243 and finally in .308.
What I'm looking 4 is mostly a .308 to suit my needs.
But I wish they would make in the 6.5x55 ovrec

I saw the M695 was sometimes bareled in 6.5X55.
Is there any M695 in Master Sporter config. ???
If yes, how about the value of it ???
I don't know that much about these rifles...

Any help appreciated,
Ben

Well, all seriousness aside, lol, here is CGN gun values in a nutshell

If you are selling, less than you think. Whatever you think your gun is worth minus 40%. Putting a scope on your gun and having a "Low round count" (WTF?) does not make your gun worth 20% more than the rifle and scope were worth new.

If you are buying, more than you think. If you want a specific gun, you are not the only one. When you decide to pick up a rifle that there has been 10 of on the EE is the day after everyone else on the forum decides they needed it too, and, ironically enough, that particular rifle that hasn't moved in a year, after multiple price drops suddenly is worth the 20% more than new that they were originally asking a year ago when they put it up for sale.

Does that seem about right?

Well - They arent necessarily cheaper than the newer Tikka's, as a lot of people felt that the 595/695 models were better. However, the sporter is a target rifle, so it may have had a few rounds down the pipe. 800 - 1000 would seem reasonable.
I cant recall the price when new, but a similar model - the Continental was about 1100 ten years ago. It was available in 6.5 X55.

They don't made the target style ( super sporter stock look like) in M695, right ?

Wich is better, M695 or M595 ?

I saw a couple in 6.5x55sm, but haven't seen any in sporter stock. Have own a few of the tikka, got to say that they are in very good quality firearm off the rack, had on in 595 308win in sporter stock, also had a few of the tikka t3 sporter stock, they are quite accurate rifle.

That particular rifle has a TRG trigger on it

Nice google search... or you have eagle eyes XD

What you think of the T3 Varmint ???

I have that exact model that I rebarreled to 65x55. It has a match chamber, that is a little tighter than normal. Also the seating depth is deeper than normal. 140 gr Sierrras seated to chase the rifling will feed through the 308 magazines. If I were to do it again, I would go with the 260 Remington, especially with the Lapua brass that is now available. The Scenar bullets are too long to feed through the mag.

You can still buy the master sporter stocks..595 short 695 long ..no difference

You can get a custom one built by Mac Tilton at MT guns..then just get it imported.

Its more money than I want to spend on this rifle...
But nice link !!! :yingyang:

I already have a .308 target rifle in the safe, but I always liked this model.
Like I said, its a pity they made too few calibers in the 595 series.
I'm looking for long range varmint hunting rifle and a spare target rifle :p

Thx guys 4 replys !!!
