What is the value

I see them for sale here and at gun shows 350 for rough ones to 675.00 but a unfired one mint maybe 800 to 900
good luck

8-900 sounds right, if it's truly mint and unfired. I'm always sceptical of these claims, and would take a good long hard look at the rifle before any money changed hands.

P.S. It would be more if you had the original box

Yeah, with original box and hang tags probably $1500 at least otherwise I would say around a grand. Seems to me that prices are rather soft for old Winchester levers in the last ten or fifteen years. I think the generation that was infatuated with them is gradually dying off.

$8-900 is accurate. The market for Winchester levers is quite strong here out west. Interestingly, it's only Winchesters. People balk at a $500 Marlin in nice condition, but wouldn't hesitate to pay for a Winchester in similar condition (post 64 mind you).

If you take it to a gun show, be sure to put a zip tie around the lever to the stock. Otherwise, everybody and his dog will have to "work the lever", just to make sure it works. I sold 8 94 unfired commemorative carbines at recent shows. I also had little cards "Please ask to handle this rifle" on each one. I was happy to remove the ties for people. There are some people who are ham-handed, and don't seem to care about banging the firearms into each other.

I have never had trouble selling a 94, pre- or post-. I've had a couple of really nice pre-64's that were sold without any haggling. One fellow told me he had always wanted a nice 94, and he found it.

For a mint, unfired 1957 94, $800-$1000 is not unreasonable. Nice find!

I just sold an excellent condition (10 rounds fired total) pre-'64 Mod.94 in .30-30 for $700 and the buyer acknowledged that it was a steal at that price. From what you describe, I'd venture $800-900. is more than fair. Two things to bear in mind; prices vary from region to region and any firearm is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay.

Model 94s hold an unearned high value, mostly trading on the brand. The comment about Marlins shows the irrational nature of the prices. I think Winchester had a genius idea with their commemoratives. People would buy a Roy Rogers, or CPR, or 63rd Company 1st Cavalry Last Stand, or Last W#orehouse on the Laramie Trail commemorative for reasons that had nothing to do with utility. How many overpriced commemoratives are there compared to Plain Jane blued '94s? And which ones are you likely to see out in the woods? Which ones have held their value? The demand was created, and it kept the production line busy. Commercial genius!

Thanks guys! I guess it was a good find since i only paid $350 for it. I found that amazing that 61 years old rifles is just like brand new. I’m going to keep that one for a long time.
