the small screwed in piece? i took it off and there is just a hole going to the metal inside. there are little holes going through the front, but the piece plugs them up.

some kind of accessory, but what?

If you took the plastic part out, does that hole going through the front go right through to the cavity where the screwed-in piece was?

When an entry shotgun is purchased with the Blackhawk! kit on it with this forend, that screw comes out as does the filler tab.

Inside will fit one of these:

A key chain LED light but in black.

There might be another screw and tab on the other side.

it is not a blackhawk, it's and Remington MCS
