The mount on the scope is NATO STANAG and the mount bolted onto it looks like it may be a carry handle mount for the AR-15/M-16, but I'm not certain wiithout a closer look.

The daylight filter for objective lense is missing and I wouldn't turn it on without it, unless you are in complete darkness. You might destroy the tube.

As "RemingtonXCRCT" said, it was a Smith & Wesson (S&W) product marketed in the late 70's, and into the 1980's.

Back then, S&W was trying to be a one-stop shop for law enforcement products, i.e., handguns, shotguns, submachine guns, ammunition, handcuffs, hearing protection, night vision, etc.

Over the years, and after several new owners, S&W got rid of the sideline items and went back to their basics - handguns.
